Ardnamurchan Distillery, renowned for its award-winning and sustainable practices, proudly marks its 10th anniversary this year. Ardnamurchan Distillery continues to grow its market share year over year, a testament to its commitment to community, quality, and innovation.
To celebrate this significant milestone, Ardnamurchan Distillery is thrilled to announce the launch of a unique batch of its highly anticipated ten-year-old whisky. This exclusive release will be available in most international markets currently stocking Ardnamurchan’s core range, as well as in specialist shops across the UK, from the end of October. Exact timing will vary due to shipping and logistics.
This unpeated, ten-year-old Ardnamurchan Single Malt showcases the exceptional craftsmanship and coastal maturation that Ardnamurchan is celebrated for.
Ardnamurchan Distillery has consistently prioritised sustainability and circular economy into every facet of its operations. This dedication has not only gained them numerous accolades but has also solidified Ardnamurchan's reputation as a leader in the industry.
"For over two years there has been a virtual ‘Do not touch’ sign on just about every cask filled from 2014 to 2016 (with a few exceptions). This is part of our own preservation order to allow for longer aging of stock for future releases, but it has also meant that we haven’t been looking at the evolution of the older stock. When we started to sample the early 2014s for the 10 year anniversary release we were genuinely amazed by the whole new set of flavours emerging." Alex Bruce, Managing Director said. “This is a proper grown-up whisky, waxy, fruity, complex and evolving, and I am unbelievably proud of it. Tasting Notes
Ardnamurchan Ten Year Old is bottled at 50% ABV and non-chill-filtered. While the entire bottling is made up of unpeated distillate matured in first-fill bourbon casks, roughly half of the batch was subsequently finished for over one year in Champagne Paul Launois barriques.

Colour: Honeyed Gold
Nose: The nose opens with an overtly tropical offering; replete with ripe mangoes, pineapple cubes, lots of honey. There are baked bananas, brown sugar, figs, and wine gums. With time, we go a little deeper into darker tones of crème caramel, toffee, and meringues with white chocolate.
Palate: The theme of honey continues, backed up by linseed oil, warming spices, gingerbread, fresh pineapple, and cedar. Oily, waxy, showing great depth.
