This second iteration of our Heritage Barley Release continues to showcase how Golden Promise barley accentuates the oily, viscous distillate that Ardnamurchan has become known for.

This time, we’ve taken it one step further, maturing 100% Golden Promise distillate in both ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. The two cask types have been bottled separately, giving you the opportunity to taste and compare the exact same distillate matured in two very different cask types.

Below are the details for the Bourbon matured release.

Colour: Chardonnay.

Nose: White wine, soy glaze, gooseberry, jam tart, white chocolate, raspberry, marzipan and sliced almond.

Flavour: Lemon sherbet, Sprite, icing sugar, apricot jam, hardboiled sweets, dulce de leche, hazelnut, tablet.

Palate/finish: Creamy, voluptuous, long but assertive finish.

This whisky is bottled at 58.6% ABV.

Like all our whiskies this release is un-chill filtered and natural colour.

This whisky is made in batches, this means the product might sell out from time to time.
