Welcome to Ardnamurchan Distillery.
Nestled in the ruggedly beautiful coastline of Scotland's west highlands, our distillery stands as a testament to innovation and tradition.
Established in 2014, our distillery embodies the spirit of its namesake peninsula, renowned for its wild landscapes and untamed character.
Our commitment to quality is obvious in every drop of the spirit we make and mature on the peninsula. From traditional double distillation to blockchain technology, we embrace heritage, innovation and sustainable practises throughout our whisky making process.
Ard-na-murkan
Ardnamurchan. Headland of the great seas.
At the most westerly point on the British mainland, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse has been guiding ships safely through the waters off Scotland’s west coast since 1849.
The 35 metre granite tower soars 55 metres above the rocks, and was built in 1849 using granite from the Isle of Mull. It was designed by Alan Stevenson, uncle of Robert Louis Stevenson, whose family designed most of Scotland’s lighthouses over a period of 150 years.
The lighthouse coordinates are featured on the lighthouse logo on our labels to give a nod to the remote western location of the distillery.
